The Foothills Chapter of Harley Owners Group was established in 2000 at our sponsoring dealership, Chandler Harley-Davidson. Our stated purpose, then and now, is to ride and have fun!
The Harley-Davidson Motor Company created the Harley Owners Group (HOG) in 1983 to bring together the passionate and brand loyal riders of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The concept was born to get people out riding and having fun. To bring together Dealers and their customers, to bond with the Motor
Company and, most importantly, to ride and have fun with each other. HOG is the official riding club of Harley-Davidson.

There are numerous events and activities to choose from when you join Foothills HOG and include such things as:
- Monthly meetings: Have a great time with your friends while getting the latest chapter news.
- Breakfast, Dinner, and Brunch rides: Ride to eat. Any questions?
- Rides: Short rides, long rides, even overnight adventures – building memories and stories to tell. Isn't that what it's all about?
- Parades: A great way to show your Harley pride and give your local community something to roar about.
- FYI Rides: A popular activity that grows from the friends you make in the Chapter.
- Social events: parties, group visits – all sorts of socializing fun.
- Dealership & charity events: Do some good while having a great time!
- Volunteering: Our Chapter has a variety of activities you can volunteer for – anything from helping at an event to becoming a Chapter officer.
One of the great things about a Harley Owners Group is that you can choose those events that best appeal to you. It gives you a chance to meet new people and make life-long friendships. Since we're all part of the Harley-Davidson family, the group is always open to new ideas, so if there are activities or events you would like to see, speak up and we'll see what we can do to accommodate.
General Meetings
The General Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM.
Meeting Location: HOG Room at Chandler Harley-Davidson - 6895 W Chandler Blvd. - Chandler, AZ 85226
Meetings are a good opportunity to see fellow members in a relaxed setting. We have fun, but it's also a great opportunity to interact with Chapter officers, as well as to get up to date on other Chapter activities.
Road Captain Meetings
The Road Captain Meetings are held once per quarter. The date & time are flexible & will be communicated by the Senior Road Captain, as appropriate.

While the Road Captain meeting is really a session for all Road Captains, any member is welcome to attend. If you have questions or suggestions, please submit the topic for discussion to the Senior Road Captain in writing prior to the meeting.

Mission Statement
At Foothills HOG, we encourage our members to embrace the following principles in support of our Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Foothills Chapter shall be to promote responsible Harley-Davidson motorcycling activities for Harley Owners Group members by conducting Chapter activities and encouraging participation in other HOG events. Chapter activities and operations shall be conducted in a manner consistent with a family-oriented, non-political, non-religious philosophy.

We value our members and agree to handle difficult situations directly with the members involved in the most positive way possible.

We value the support we receive from Chandler Harley-Davidson and want to respond in a positive way. In matters involving Customer Service, we agree to handle situations with the dealership without the use of negative actions or words internally or externally. In fact, we are committed to encouraging people to do their Harley shopping at Chandler Harley-Davidson.

We recognize that not all things that happen in our dealings with the various departments will go perfectly. In situations of conflict and disagreement with Chandler Harley-Davidson, we will take our complaints to our Chapter Director. He is committed to assist members in resolving conflicts between them and the dealership.

Foothills HOG isn't a perfect Chapter, nor is it run by flawless individuals. The Officers are to guide the Chapter in a positive direction. Decisions made may not please all members. But once the discussion is over and a decision has been made, whether we agreed or not, we will support the decision.

Foothills #76 is a Harley Owners Group which is sponsored by Chandler Harley-Davidson.
The Chapter must apply annually to renew its charter with National HOG. Without the approval and support of the sponsoring dealership, the charter will not be renewed and the Chapter can’t exist.
Only Harley-Davidson motorcycles are expected to be ridden on Chapter rides.
There are some exceptions:
- If your Harley will be in the shop during a scheduled ride, your other motorcycle can be ridden on Chapter rides until your Harley is repaired.
- A new rider who is an associate National HOG member can ride a non-Harley while they improve their riding skills and build confidence.
- Exceptions may be made for members who become unable to ride a 2-wheeled Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
